We may enter commercial arrangements with reading platforms in future — typically a commission when a reader clicks through and subscribes. Our lists may not include every platform on the market, and commercial agreements can influence which platforms we cover. They do not influence scores: every composite on this site is calculated from the six weighted axes published on How we test, and the full scorecard is public so anyone can check the arithmetic.
We do not list, link to, name or rank unlicensed manga aggregators. Creators, translators and letterers are paid from legitimate subscriptions and chapter sales, those sites carry advertising that routinely serves malware, and the copies are frequently incomplete or mistranslated. This is an editorial policy, applied without exception.
Some reviewed platforms — Lezhin Comics, Toomics, Coolmic, and the mature sections of Tapas, Tappytoon and BookWalker — offer age-gated adult catalogues. We reference them factually for comparison.
